Why CASA has introduced multi-factor authentication

CASA has introduced multi-factor authentication across all our online services to better protect client information and to meet the Australian Government’s Essential Eight cyber security requirements. How the login process has changed

1. Sign in using your normal process of entering your Aviation Reference Number (ARN) and password.
2. You will be asked to enter a security code. This code will have been sent to your registered email address.
3. Check your email and copy the security code.
4. Enter the emailed security code on the DMNS page.

My security code hasn’t been emailed to me

• It could take up to 5 minutes for the email to land in your inbox.
• Check your junk, spam and promotions folders to see if it has been diverted into those folders.
• If you still haven’t received your verification code after 5 minutes, you can:

o ask the system to send a new code
o contact us on 131 757 to check if there are any technical problems.

Use a new security code each time you login

Each security code is time sensitive, so you will be sent a different code each time you sign in. Always use the most recent code. If your code expires before you can enter it into the system, you will need to ask the system to send a new code.

I have been locked out of my account

The system will temporarily lock you out of your account after 5 unsuccessful attempts to login. If this happens, you will need to wait for 5 minutes before trying again. If you continue to experience login issues, please contact us on 131 757.
